My MBP keeps crashing after I plug in my Razer Naga. It's not consistent - the amount of time it takes for it to crash can be anywhere from an hour to four or five hours, but it is only after plugging in my Naga. Here's my error log:

I've tried updating my drivers (I'm now on the silly Synapse cloud drivers), and I've updated my OS/java/everything. However, my computer crashes regardless of what I'm doing - it will crash even if nothing is happening. I even tried backing up, wiping my disk, and migrating back on to it. No luck.

A secondary issue that's not as important (but I'll ask anyway) - my screensaver menu will not maintain more than one saved folder. If I try to use the + to add more folders, as soon as I close and re-open Sys Prefs, the extra folders have vanished. I've looked around for solutions on the web, but nothing I've tried has worked for that, either.

Edit:
I guess I'll add one more thing while I'm at it. Whenever I'm using InDesign and I try to use expose, my mac crashes as well. It's only InDesign, none of the other CS5 stuff.

Also, how do you make spoiler tags? They work on the other vBulletin forums I use.

Same problem on MBP mid-2010 after upgrading to Mavericks

I have had the GPU Panic crash every 45 minutes or so on my MacBook Pro. I upgraded from 10.7 to 10.9 -- does anyone know what I can do? Should I reinstall OS X?

I use this MacBook Pro for work and really need this fixed. Please someone help!

I know this is posted in 2013, but in case anyone else comes across it like I did.. my Macbook Pro 15" Mid 2010 is doing the exact same thing -

I found during my searches that the exact Macbook Pro I have, is known for graphic card issues so I went and purchased a new logic board. Haven't installed it yet (so I had another panic crash today; which brought me here).

So in the matter of 2 1/2 months, in case you're wondering how to fix this crash issue and want to avoid the steps I've taken or just want to see what went on:

Reinstalling to Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite does not help - actually Mavericks and Yosemite make it worse. I went and installed snow leopard on my main and then took an external for testing and installed all the way to Mountain Lion, slowly. I took days to do this. Did tests as I went, with my snow leopard ejected every time.
- Changed and updated my ram. No change other than more ram.
- Changed my hard drive data cable. At first, it was going fine, two days without issues, but then, another crash. thought that was it though - Mountain Lion was installed on main at this time.
- Found that changing my hard drive to SSD didn't do anything, other than make the restarts a little faster. SSD had Snow Leopard, external had Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion not ejected for the first two days.
- Found Dropbox leaks memory (May/June 2015 downloads/installs) - when too much is leaked, it causes my macbook to restart, so I would use it, then close it immediately - that stopped the restarts from that.
- Found that CleanMyMac leaks memory - it just stays leaking. Doesn't restart.
- Found that iLife causes kernel panics even if not used, it just has to be uninstalled. Even uninstalling seems to cause it - I've missed something in uninstalling.
- Even before I had installed iLife and had Mountain Lion installed, my mac would come from sleep, then do a hard restart. So it's more than one thing causing use of one thing; graphics.
- Found that when I use iMovie in any form, starting, using anything in it, closing, it could cause a kernel panic - the mac would restart to gray screen, sometimes to just black blank screen and would not restart.
- Found out during all this, if you unplug your mac during a kernel panic restart, I'd have to do a hard reboot. (yikes) because it wouldn't come on by itself.
- Found that this exact same Macbook Pro (15" unibody mid 2010) are all listed as doing this exactly 5 years in after purchase and there isn't a damn thing I can do about it now.
- Found that if you stay at Snow Leopard (you can update) put things in except iLife (so far), use your Macbook Pro as just checking emails, browsing, looking at a couple videos, you're fine.
- Found that Final Cut Pro (and X in Yosemite) caused kernel panics due to that hard use of that one thing; graphics card.
- Found that after updating to Lion (next one from snow leopard; not mountain) that you'll begin to see changes in your system for videos and sound. I could not use Preview (sometimes) for videos because of all the jerking, crashing and freezing and sometimes the sound would not even be present, but QT worked fine. With running the preview, the system will get hotter and the fans would run more, even with air flow open and not blocked. Another sign it's using that one thing way too much; graphics.
- Found out during all this, my macbook would get really hot during the running of preview or even QT for personal videos, not hot enough to cause a restart, (this is only after update to Lion) but hot enough that it would burn you to the touch (I actually got a blister on one of my fingers after first updating to Lion from the area of my monitor); which is also listed as a problem with these exact MBP's.
- Realized this all started after I first (ever) updated to Mavericks and was using my graphics card for a lot for videos at this time, so I updated to Yosemite (first time ever; I was holding out) thinking it would fix it, but no, it got worse, so reinstalled everything, fresh, and still it does it.

So as of today, it has gotten worse. Even after all the reformatting/refresh cleaning - I even did the 7 pass clean in security, twice, at different times for an actual HD but just erase on SSD.

So, in short:
Change your Logic Board - it's your graphics card going out - (if you had the same issues I listed here.)

Hope that helps someone.
