I've got a EVGA GTX 680 4GB and a His R9 280X

I found a Mac rom here for each card and flashed, and happily have a boot screen, but in each case I get all sorts of colors and distorted image when loading into OS X.

Any tips? Especially in the case of the 680 when the bios had been successfully used by other EVGA 4gb users.

With both cards I found a rom that was as close a match as possible (the 680 is a higher clocked version of the same card, the 280 was a shot in the dark lol)

In both cases, the cards gained boot screens (yay!) and worked in boot camp, but had all sorts of glitches when I tried to load OSX.

I was hoping, since it happened to both a AMD and Nvidia card I’m hoping there is something else going on I can find...

Maybe I’ll try to boot the Mojave installer and see if it has the same artifacts...

I started from scratch, redownloaded files and tried again.

The GTX680 now has boot screens and full Mojave support!

The R9 280X hasn’t, but I’m happier with the 680.

Now I just need to learn how to edit the bios to restore the cards GPU and ram speeds (it’s a FTW edition with higher clocks)

Hndegard..

Can you post a pic of the HIS R9 280X .. . Is it this one ( with 1 X 6pin & 1 X 8 pin power sockets ) ? http://www.hisdigital.com/gb/product2-786.shtml

HIS cooling solution is the best I've ever come across.

The other HIS R9 280X has 2 X 8pin power sockets.

I'd love to get hold of the one in the above pic. ( 1 x 6 pin & 1 x 8 pin
