GTA on iPhone would be awesome but I do think it may pose a formidable challenge to the iPhone’s processors, even the 3GS.

Theoretically it could be possible with GTA 1 graphics though the size of the game would be a couple of gigs.

Yeah we would have to get to the point where the iphone is graphically powerful enough to handle PS2 graphics. It would be the first game that would be worth $20-$30. Right now it's capable of PS1 graphics.

I would buy it.

They do have GTA for the DS. Its quite fun. Uses a top view, even when driving, and a lot less intense graphics.

I would rather see the PSP version. Since the iPhone is not limited to the size of the disc like UMDs, the game could have more depth. I would be willing to pay $30 for it.

I'd buy that for a dollar!
:D

Nice RoboCop reference.

Payback's cool, but it's not as polished as it could be. The graphics are great, it just doesn't have the depth.

Oh yeah, but it demonstrates that the kind of game is possible if they put the time into making it.

Of course. Especially since Payback uses a software renderer. Imagine, if they off-loaded some of that to OpenGL ES 2.0, they could pull off some fantastic graphics.

I would love to see a full on 3D version, but I would happily pay $10 to $15+ for a top verson.

I thought Car Jack was made by some of the GTA people. This may not be accurate, but I have heard that.
