On this twit episode (http://www.twit.tv/mbw188) dated march 31st, Andy Ihnatko said that there were several ibooks' categories that had been removed by apple. One of them was graphic novels. So more that likely, Apple is expecting or wanting to have some graphic novels but as of right now, as far as I know they dont have any. I could be totally wrong, maybe some have already pop out.

Get the Kindle app and then browse for Kindle books.

Plus when you get it from Amazon, you can sync the books you read between your Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, and Kindle.

With Apple's iBook, you can only read it on the iPad.

I have several hundred comics in PDF that I keep in Calibre. What I'm planing to do is either mail them to myself or put some in Dropbox and open that way. There are also several Apps for reading PDF and a few for comics in particular.

But the Kindle format only works with Kindle apps or devices. So if you buy epub books instead and import them to iTunes, you can read them on your iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, several mobile phones actually and also various ebook readers since epub is more open and common than the Kindle format.

I don't know about you but calibre does a horrible job in converting PDF to epub , and iBooks is not mention to watch co ice, I recommend comic reader mobi reads PDF great and you transfer them from iTunes to your iPad and it's a way better experience, the app is 14 bucks but worth it if you put in mind the hours you will spend with it.

Goodreader is getting raves for PDFs and is only 99c right now. Not sure if it would have the features needed for comic reading though.
