I'm curious to know if iPad Air with sidecar will work better than Huion graphic tablet that I have. I dont have Apple Pencil 2 but I want to know if iPad Air can replace Huion graphic tablet or not. So far, I'm using Huion graphic tablet in a tablet mode just like Wacom Intuos due to low brightness.

Any thoughts about using iPad Air with sidecar for photoshop and Capture One Pro?

I use an iPad Pro with PS and C1 for this and it works great. It doesn’t show where the cursor is when the pen is not touching though…

*edit - I mean where the cursor will be

My daughter was using a Huion tablet on her MS Surface for sketching and she never really gelled with it. She now has an ipad Air and she likes it a lot more for drawing on ProCreate - she is only 13 but she really likes to draw. Biased as I am, she is really serious about it and does a great job. Don't know if that helps at all

Is there anything in particular that you find lacking with your current tablet, or that you think might suit you better in an iPad?

You are correct in your assumption. Sidecar with an iPad will do the trick exactly how Huion's. Except for the crashes from Huion's softwares, off course.

BUT, if you want a paramount experience with Apple Pencil, get yourself an iPad Pro. The screen refresh rate is a must have.

I have Huion graphic tablet but I'm not using it as a graphic tablet at all instead of tablet mode just like Wacom Intuous.
