I'm looking for an graphic tablet, I don't have alot of money (150-200). This is going to be my first tablet. I'll be using it for graphic design, lite photo touch ups. I read some things saying that a non-wide tablet would not work right on my mbp I'm just wondering if this is true. Please help me cause I'm looking to get one this week.

You can specify whether the tablet maps to the entire screen, or whether it just maps to a portion of it. So...you could use your 4x3 tablet with your 16x10 screen in one of two ways: either it stretches so that horizontal movements are exaggerated, or it will work with only a portion of the screen, but do so accurately.
I'm pretty sure you can specify where on the screen the corners of the tablet correspond to...so it could be as much as the full height, but just not the full width, for instance. You could either go with the smallest Intuos (the professional line) or the medium sized Bamboo Fun, which is bigger than the Intuos, but doesn't offer as much sensitivity (tilt and pressure), and only comes with the pen, and not the mouse.
I have a Bamboo Fun. Obviously not a professional user. If you are going to be using your tablet for basic photo touch ups then get the Bamboo Fun, that's what I use it for and I couldn't be happier.
Is that Dollars or Pounds, you're really restricted to the A6 intuos 3 (might just be in budget) or more realistically the bamboo range.
The bamboo range is okay as a starter tablet, but has a limited range of pressure sensitivity. For occasional use it'll probably be fine, but if you want to get into serious drawing/digital paint, you're going to find yourself needing something better. Personally, I'd be more inclined to go for one of the A6 intuos models rather than a larger Bamboo, but I use Painter, Photoshop and Illustrator pretty heavily, so my needs may be different from yours. If you get a chance, give 'em both a try.
