What Graphics cards are mac compatable?
For an AGP powermac G5

Nvidia and ATi both have "mac divisions"

you can only "BUY" Mac Cards.

all mac compatible cards are labeled MAC blah blah blah.

as for what works in your machine, goto system profiler and see what slot you have, or crack open you manual.

The nVidia 7800 is a great card for the PowerMac.

Unfortunately, Apple does not sell individual cards, and they are nearly impossible to find new OEM versions.

That card is aroun $350 for PC's. A rare find of a new OEM mac version goes for $725.

HOWEVER....some 7800's made for the PC can be flashed (firmware replaced with Mac firmware and some other modifications) and works flawlessly.

On the expensive end, the ATI X800 XT is perhaps the hottest card you can buy for your model of Mac.

On the lower end, the ATI 9800 Mac Edition is a good card, too.
