Can anyone else do a quick test for me?

If you have a Mac Pro with a 7950 (Either flashed or the official Sapphire version... please state which version you have) can you just go to Safari and try going to the following site?

http://www.apple.com/ipad-air/

When I go there, I get corruption. Lots of pink and green lines.

I have a 2009 Mac Pro. I've tried it with a flashed 7950 and a flashed 7970, both do the same.

My original 4870 works fine.

I've tried it under 10.8.5 and also Mavericks 10.9. Both react the same way. Tried changing my RAM (Currently have 3 16GB Sticks, put the original 6GB back in, same thing).

Neither of my flashed cards have had the resistor mod to get from 2.5G/s to 5G/s

Lots of pink and green lines.

Once and awhile I get this with my soon to be replaced 5770 on startup and on icons on the dock, other odd stuff. In the case of on startup, it is the whole screen and I have to do a hard restart.

Is there a test I can run to see if the card is hosed? It has always done this...

Here too

Also happening to me on an unflashed 7950 on a 4,1 flashed to 5,1. Get odd corruption on other sites very occasionally too but the biggest issue, is a similar look on all my RW files in Aperture. The RAWS display fine in Lightroom, Preview and Photoshop

Same here!

Actually other graphical glitches happen too in the Mac App Store (part of the screen not refreshing correctly), and on websites (in Safari) with pictures slideshows sometimes I get tiled errors where part of previous images seem to remain in cache and show up over the current image...
Shaking the mouse over reactive design elements, or reloading the page seems to fix it.

Fun part was that on 10.8.x everything was ok but with 10.9.1 I get these issues.
My guess is that these are due to driver issues, or in Apple window framework (since I get the same type of bug in the Mac App Store).

Still if anybody finds a solution please share it!

Other question can you watch iTunes drm-protected with your 7950?

I wonder if it has something to do with drivers for the HD7950 still in their infancy.

The 4870 maxed out at openGL 3.3, where the 7950s go to 4.3, and for Apple it might be a work in progress (they probably focused more on OpenCL lately in order to show the MacPro 2013 power in FCX etc.).

I'm hopping for something to happen with the next OS update with update in the graphics, but who knows when that will be...

At least Nvidia released drivers, AMD doesn't seem to bother :(

I have an open bug report with Apple regarding this issue.

For me at least this only happens on certain JPEG images. All other image types seem fine and as you reported FireFox and Chrome are fine with the same images.

The last thing they had me do was run upload a system dump of my Mac Pro using the 'sysdiagnose' command.

I haven't heard anything back for a while.

Indeed ^^

Have any of you experienced other artifacts in Safari (image gallery, or carousel f information (banners) bugging), or in the Mac App Store.

I believe it might be something in Apple's window framework that causes the issue.
