Firstly, specs;
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz iMac 20" (December 2007)
OS X 10.5.3
2 GB RAM
ATI RadeonHD2600 256 MB (ROM Version - 113-B2250F-219)
I have been having this issue pretty much since i got my iMac in late December 2007. It does not happen a lot, and is pretty rare when it happens. (It has maybe happend 15-20 times since I got it, but lately it has been occurring more often) And I have found, by simply rebooting fixes it.
Basically, as you can see from the screenshots, there is a pretty serious graphics issue going on;

It goes, crazy, like you could seriously have epileptic fit with it. lol. The last shot, is not in Warcraft 3 at all, But on my desktop, with an Image that i had screen-shotted within War3, open in Preview. As you can see, its pretty messed up.
Now I do not think this is completely related to Warcraft 3, as I have seen these issues within the OS itself. What I have found is that Warcraft 3 seems to be the catalyst to make it happen, especially when I am switching from Full screen to windowed mode (apple+m), alot.
At first I thought it was perhaps a heat issue, with playing War3 for long periods, and the heat build up on the card was perhaps causing this. But I have been using smcFanControl, and the average temp is around 40' now, as I keep the CPU fanspeed up much faster than default. And even with this enabled, I encounter this issue. So I am pretty confident it is not a Heat Issue.
I am running a pretty up-to-date iMac, only 1 version behind the latest. I am using 10.5.3 (and I have researched, that 10.5.4 does not fix any graphical issues). The reason I do not have 10.5.4, is because I use other external devices, that only recently have been supported with 10.5.3, and I do not want to risk installing 10.5.4 and finding out they do not function properly.
Interesting note, is there was a Firmware release by Apple regarding my type of Graphics card, but the ROM details do not match up to the update, and the update is not for me.
So, I am not sure. I am thinking it is either Driver problems, or a Faulty Graphics card? But, if Warcraft 3 is making the issues happen, I am leaning more on driver issues than faulty card.
So, where is the best place to channel this issue? What is the best way to report to Apple, that someone will actually look at it, and get most coverage? And any ideas, on to why Warcraft 3 is helping to cause this to happen? And any other ideas im not thinking about?
Cheers
