I have a first gen iPad Pro which is about 18 months old now. Just recently it has started displaying black lines randomly as pictured, a few seconds later it reboots. I am not sure if it is a software or hardware problem as it happens intermittently and they disappear as soon as the iPad resets. It has not been dropped as far as I know.

I have tried updating to the latest iOS 11.3, but no improvement. Any ideas what could be up with it? I tried searching on Google and Youtube but couldn't find a similar issue.

I'm struggling to see how it could be the ribbon cable if it seems to be related to the software. It occurs randomly but is triggered without any movement, and as above immediately causes a reboot and then disappears. So it seems at least partially software related.
