Graphics Software?

I did a search and couldnt really come up with anything specific for what I was looking for, but I know everyone will be able to give me an emmediate answer.

What program could I use on my mac to make graphics/logos/designs that would be used to be printed on tshirts? Im looking for something that I could really do alot with. Im pretty sure that photoshop isnt the only answer right?

ADOBE Illustrator, vector based for best printing on t-shirts.
It is the top of the line program for what you are looking for.

DEFINITELY Illustrator, or at least some other vector drawing software (Freehand?). Photoshop only if you really have to... make sure to use an appropriately high DPI.
