Hi all

I have always gone for white/silver iPhone pros in the past, but I am considering going with graphite next year when my upgrade is due.

However, the reason I have always gone for silver is because I am able to remove any micro scratches etc by polishing it off, however this can’t be done with the PVD coated iPhones.

I am just wondering how your coloured SS iPhones are holding up after months of use (particularly the graphite colour), do they scratch easy?

Mine do have scratches here and there. I go naked so it’s expected to have some scratches. Zero warping of frames even when I’ve dropped my phone twice. What is worst than scratches is the colour of the chassis changing over time. Mine has this burnt metal hue along the SA chassis. It’s cool though because if gives some sort of a characteristic haha. Like a leather patina on wallets.

I've had the XS Max in Space Gray (PVD coating), the 12 Pro Max in Graphite (PVD coating), and now the 13 Pro Max in Graphite (PVD coating). This is the first year I got a visible scratch and a chip on the side of my phone. I would still get the Graphite if given the chance. The PVD coating is still my preferred choice. I just had a bit of bad luck.

You’re definitely a creature of habit ? 🤣

I had a gold 11 Pro that I used naked (although it did go in a soft pouch when out and about) and it was absolutely pristine when I traded it in, 0 scratches on the sides. I‘m hoping my sierra blue 13 Pro will be the same. I do tend to baby my devices because of OCD though :p
