Gray Lines Desktop my programs disappear every time I click on desktop

Hello,
Newbie running macOS Sonoma, I do not understand why the gray lines in my desktop appear every time I click on my desktop and the app which I am working with disappear until I click again in the gray lines, what the name of this feature? I don't like it, can I disable it?
