Greasy Keyboard?

I guess I have oily skin or something... but a problem I had with my old Dell was that the keyboard keys got really... shiny where frequently used - presumably from oils on my fingertips.

Now, this pretty 17" is only a month old and (admittedly, in a dark room in the glow of the screen) it's already showing signs of grease/wear on the spacebar where I press most often. Is there any way to prevent/remove this?

Effective yes, practical no. You keyboard does not need to remain sterile

But do what I do and get a bottle of iKlear or Clean Dr with the the microfiber cloth and after you clean the case and screen of your laptop, wipe the keys with it.

Wash your hands right before you compute. That should help.

But first clean your keyboard good. Clean it with Fantastic, Formula 409, or whatever (but spray your cloth, not the keyboard). To REALLY clean it, remove each key and scrub them good with a terry cloth shop towel after spraying with cleaner.

What about the other fingers...?

Someone could slip on a pair of Isotoner gloves and then have all fingers covered. Problem solved.
