Had problem with mac reading ethernet connections...this woman Theresa stuck with me for more than an hour..we did everything including re-installing the OS...she sent the issue to engineers at Apple and today its fixed...I asked to send my praise to her boss and she gave me his email....only Apple has this kind of service...Roku et al have a lot of nothing......This is why Apple is so sucessfull ...she called me back three times to try different things for too many technology companies ...you can't even get them on the phone or their support is in the FarEAST...like Epson et al.

I agree, Apple's customer support is far beyond any other competitor. I sent my laptop in for a new battery, and because the parts are "constrained". Meaning there's an excessive wait time for them, they were not going to charge me for the repair. I didn't ask for that, I wasn't looking for anything other then my laptop being repaired.

Hi Phil,
What was the solution?
I'm having problems with my Ethernet port not coming up. Have tried several cables. Stopped working altogether after updating to High Sierra.

Thanks :)

Maybe AppleCare can be excellent, but I do have one issue with it: I am replacing a 2011 MBA with a new ntb MBP, due to be delivered to me (in the UK) from China next week, but the AppleCare (which I paid for at the same time as my new machine) started three days ago! A company like Apple ought to be able to fix things so that AppleCare commences from the date of delivery of a new machine - not from when customers first paid for it!
