From itunes store there is a free app that offers a great, intuitive, ap to listen to hundreds of radio stations from around the US catagorized by classification from Dance to Talk. Its called "iheart radio" it has better
selections than Sirius XM and its free!!! I have some cheap speakers
attached to the ipod touch and have it on my desk. I cancelled Sirius.

As per my knowledge following are best free application for itouch.

- Google Earth
- Facebook
- Skype
- Traffic Rush
- Paper toss
- iHandy level free
- Idiom dictionary
- Pandora radio
- Touch Hockey
- Photoshop

Do you need a certain iPodTouch version to download these apps? I don't find both of them and I have a 2nd gen IpodTouch. Is that the reason why? PLus I just did an update

free app

I have that app too. I purchased an iPod Touch 3rd Gen about 10 months ago and cancelled my XM/Sirius subscription about a month later. I get at least one email or regular mail item from them per week since then. There are more than sufficient free or minimal one time charge apps which more than make up the ones I miss from the pay service. There are a few individual shows that I miss at times, but not enough to start paying them again.
