Great News MMSers! It's Officially Late Summer!

It's officially late summer! As of today we are now in the last 1/3rd of the Summer season and therefore it is safe to deem it late summer. Summer officially ends on September 22nd at 1418 PDT. Therefore if AT&T keeps their word you have at most one month to wait before you can MMS all those wonderful pictures you've been stuffing your iPhone with.

I've never really stressed the arrival of MMS, but I thought I would throw a little fact into all of your daily speculation.




LET THE WHINING COMMENCE​
 
I personally am welcoming it with open arms. I actually NEED MMS. I used to use it more than text in my old phone (Tmo G1) and i miss it badly. Heres to crossing my fingers it arrives sooner than later.
 
Thiis is pretty ridic, not a good sign at all. Good news would be MMS, not that it's taking forever. I'd imagine if AT&T were smart they would release around the time of Snow Leopard simply to help to limit the publicity.

I say the same thing to my self jessica., every Saturday morning as the noon sun pulls me from bed and I begin to piece together the night before. Third person, nickname and all. "I expected more from you xbuddycorex". Haha

thegoldenmackid, I've been saying since day one it'll coincide with the release of 3.1 for the exact same reason. Also, that will truly make it look like Apple has been the one dragging their feet. AT&T is already telling customers that they've given the updated carrier file to Apple and are just waiting like the rest of us. I'd be willing to bet they gave it with a "Do Not Open Til X-Mas" label on it though.
 
Most of my friends know to send the MMS message to my mobileme email so they know what's up. Also if 3.1 is released and has MMS w/ carrier file...can I just plug my phone in and update it? (It's currently jailbroken). I don't care if I lose all the jail break stuff. I just want to know if I can safely plug it in and it just erase the jail break.

Ya when you update though.... I would do a full restore and the "set up as new phone"

Im getting tired of waiting on MMS I don't understand what the big deal is.... if the 50 million razrs out there have MMS why can't we?

Oh god, I ditched my razor for the infamous AT&T Quickfire which sucked...terrible touch screen problems. So I then went to the LG Vu from December until iPhone 3GS day and I bought up a 3 GS

But you get what I mean... If the cheapest POS phones have mms why cant we.. I know its not network limitations..

I wish Verizon would get the iPhone.

Yes, I knew what you meant but it just reminded me of the days where I had the damn RAZR :(
 
YEah WTF At&t when the **** are we getting it? we should be compensated in someway for having to wait for mms this long
 
This is getting ridiculous...the other day it hit me how dumb it was that we actually don't have mms on the iphone...

Maybe a month or so after it is released we will find out WHY it took this long to become avail?
 
They can't get MMS working because they're too busy drinking at all those bars in more places. more bars + more places = more drunk att engineers who aren't doing their jobs.

Now, off to find one of those bars...
 
I just LOVE getting text messages that say "You've received a multimedia..." with the login/password.

Only the second time I've bitched about it, so...
 
I for one wont be sending many MMS on the other hand I do get sent a lot of MMS. I would have dropped the carrier file on my iPhone 3GS by now if it bothered me, but sadly I don't even get the message with the link anymore so I have no way of knowing if some one sent me an MMS or not.

Yes, your AT&T store manager note with the pizza box was epic! I've been a loyal xbuddycorex follower ever since. :rolleyes:


BTW, "late" is defined in one dictionary as "occurring, coming, or being after the usual or proper time." So, one could say that MMS was late right after OS 3.0 came out, since that would've been the "proper time" to give us MMS. :)
