So I have been waiting, reading a million threads, searching sites for (useless) rumors, and patiently waiting like thousands of others on a potential new MacBook Air on the "Back to School" promo that apple has, but nothing, absolutely nothing.....just have to wait till it comes out, can't do anything else, and no I don't need a MacBook Air, I just want this new damn one to come out already!!! Cheers

Seems like the end of June at the earliest. Just a couple more weeks, nothing else you can do unfortunately.

Hopefully I can still finance with the Barclay card that was sent to my house, with 0% APR for a year...

Or I'll just cut up the card and re-apply

To be honest, I didn't expect to see them today. Usually we get a bit more "solid" evidence right before the release like we did with the unlocked iPhones. I bet we will see them in late June/early July, as indicated by the article about the order of 8xx,xxx MBA.

My guess is that new Airs will be released no sooner than the release of Lion. It makes sense to release new hardware alongside the new OS, rather than forcing all of the new owners to update merely days/weeks later.

They will come when they are ready. There's no point whining on why they don't get released today, or tomorrow... the release date is set and nothing will change it. At least they are being released in unison with the Back to School promotion, so in the end the customer wins.

If it doesn't come out next week, I bet you're right. I wonder if the want to avoid people buying MBA before the Lion release and using their Lion vouchers to upgrade all of their household's Macs. Yes, its just $30 a household and would only effect those who just purchased MBAs, but it does all add up to be fairly substantial.

(I know that's what I was going to do :p )

The point of my thread isn't to while or b$&@h, it's that these rumors are bs, just release the damn thing already, we know it's coming....

An ivy bridge MBA is coming too, by this logic they should just release it. Preorders should be taken at the very least ;)

You say that sarcastically, but 90% of the people on this forum would be done with that! lol

I totally agree with you even though I cant really want to see new Airs.
