Here is a leather sleeve.

It is on Amazon for $20.

Caveat- it was originally sold for the Kindle DX. BUT, it should fit the iPad.

Dimensions are 11.0" x 8.5" x 0.8"
An iPad is 9.6" x 7.5" x 0.5"
A Kindle DX is 10.4" x 7.2" x 0.4"

I would think that something like this would work great for the iPad- and for a LOT cheaper than iPad cases are.

Anyone think this would work or anyone find any other Kindle DX cases that are similar?

People, do not take risks with other Kindle DX Cases, look very close to the dimensions to make sure it's bigger than iPad. My DX case doesn't fit at all, the case is too narrow for the iPad.

like it

I like it, but would prefer to get one with a docking hole in the bottom (which of course could be done with some scissors.)

iPad is about 1 inch shorter than Kindle DX. So if you look at the pictures, you can see that there would be room for the dock cable to plug in to iPad if you put it in this case, dock side up.

Which Kindle DX case do you have?

a) The iPad is shorter than Kindle-- so this case is no problem
b) The iPad is 1/3" wider than Kindle-- Could this case really be that tight that 1/3" wider won't fit?
c) The iPad is 1/10" thicker than Kindle- this can't make much of a difference with this case.

It seems to me the biggest risk is that this case can't accomodate 1/3" extra width. Any thoughts?

Notice I said other cases. I don't want people to get the wrong idea thinking that ALL DX cases will fit.

My DX Case.
