So I've become pretty hooked on Reddit. Especially the Android app 'Reddit News Pro'. I find it an absolute joy to use Reddit with.

I do use 'Alien Blue' on my iPad on occasion but it's definitely an inferior app IMO compared to Reddit News Pro.

I know Alien Blue has an iPhone app that is different. Has anybody here used Alien Blue on their iPhone and maybe also Reddit News Pro on Android? Do you use another Reddit app on your iPhone? As silly as I know this sounds, I'm not sure I'd want to potentially switch to an iPhone and lose what I deem an excellent Reddit app experience on Android.

I agree that Reddit news pro on Android is far better than alien blue on iOS, but unfortunately I think alien blue is as good as it gets on iPhone. At least, I haven't found anything better yet. I wish Reddit news would choke to iOS!

Just tried every Reddit iOS app for iPhone on my iPad. Nothing comes close to Reddit News Pro. I know many of you will laugh at this but I won't consider an iPhone now unless something as good as RNP comes to iOS.

I agree that Reddit News Pro is spectacular, but if you had an iPhone for 5 years prior to getting a MotoX then how did you ever survive? Really, it doesn't sound like you're looking to move back to the iPhone anyway. ;)

I was seriously considering an iPhone 6 Plus. I was using iReddit before I got my first Android device. It was a good Reddit client then. Not sure if it still exists. It is not nearly as good as RNP. Nothing on iOS appears to be.

Okay thanks.

This appears to be the best iOS Reddit app I've tried. Still not as good as RNP but I like it the best. Better than Alien Blue IMO.

I had never heard of it either and plan to try it out later today. For some reason AB has always seemed unintuitive to me. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks to Armen also.

Any idea if you can use this app with notifications? Meaning if someone replies to one of my comments on Reddit this app will tell me? I have this currently with Reddit News Pro on my Moto X.

I've got quite a few of them and settled on MyReddit Pro. It's fantastic on the iPhone 6 Plus. Also Rhombus is great, and KarmaTrain and Reddme and Beam have great card layout views.

Thanks for the karmatrain suggestion. Been looking for something similar to reddit sync on android but very few cards looks on iOS. Hopefully it's updated for the 6+ soon.

Do any of these apps have a filter for subreddits? RNP allows you to pick what subreddits you don't want to see ever in your feed.

I've redownloaded every Reddit app onto my new iPhone. I think Baconreader and Redditor are clearly the best. However neither are great. I'm having trouble getting gifs to load on Baconreader. Redditor is so slow when you get to the end of the page and want to keep scrolling down. Anybody else agree?

Update: Baconreader Gifs don't work for me in most instances. Redditor subs are broken down between favs and what you subscribe. So if some favs are on your list, it's not in one place. Kinda annoying IMO.

I've decided Baconreader and Narwhal are the only clients I can stomach.
