I absolutely love my iPad and have discovered one of it's greatest benefits for me. I am Diabetic and a couple of weeks ago my blood sugar went sky high. Well I've got it back under control, but because of the elevated sugar I am experiencing very blurry vision. My doctor says it will improve after about a month and I may have to get new glasses, but not get the glasses yet because my vision may change more (to the better hopefully). In the meantime, I am having to live with blurry vision. Well the iPad makes living with it a lot easier. I can access the web and easily zoom in and out on pages making it easy to read. I pull up a page, zoom in and it is so seamless and easy to do, it makes reading no problem at all. Until you've experienced blurry vision like I have, you don't know how great a benefit this is. To me, if the iPad did nothing else, it would be worth the price just for this feature.

Wow! I'm glad that you can still read via the help of the iPad, but I hope your vision returns completely very soon.

Yeah I love the sharp zoom into pages while retaining aspect ratios.

iPad (and iPhone, iPod touch) also has a mode for those who are visually impaired too.

yes. i have very poor vision but i can still read the web and stuff in my bed without contacts or glasses its awesome.

Get better soon bro. iPad and lots of carrot juice should get you straight.

Yeah the pinch-zoom is the best. I love reading on this thing.
I'm having a comic book experience all over, they look 20 times better on the pad than looking at the actual book.

Very cool! This thing is a game changer for reasons that aren't easily seen by everyone.

No pun intended, right? LOL. Seriously, before I had lasic eye surgery, this would have been a dream. I HATED wearing glasses, so this would have been sweet. Even with good vision the crisp zoom is still awesome!

Bless you and best wishes for you too. I am very glad the iPad zoom feature allows you to read. :)

This is a very good reason why I choose my iPad and MacBook pro. I love my windows 7 desktop don't get me wrong but I have bad eyesight. And it is so easy to zoom on the iPad and MBP. And the zoom is so clear. In windows you have to adjust dpi scaling and it really causes issues with some programs and is just such a pain. I really think the iPad could benefit people with vision problems in some sense or aid people who are visually impaired like myself to be able to surf the net and such.
