Greatest Ever Cartoon Characters

Difficult to do this one in Poll form without excluding someone's choices, but having watched an episode of Wacky Races on Saturday evening it brought back how funny and well-written some cartoon characters can be.

So I was wondering who everyone's preferred animated protagonists are. Post a pic and who the character is, so we can all google for those we don't know.

As hinted at above, I'm voting for these two

Oh, so is this open now to cartoon, comic book, and newspaper comic characters? Much more difficult, as it now opens the door for some of my other favorites:

- Calvin and Hobbes (of course)
- Green Lantern

I will vote again for Uncle Scrooge! I wasn't that big into Duck Tales when I was little, though I did read all the comics religiously. And still do!
