Hi folks ! Just a short story, maybe you are interested ?
I´m a German guy, won an iPod Touch 5G black on Ebay on 04/20 for about 130.
When I turned the iPod on it showed very visible, disgusting mint-green borders on screen:

Also there was a dent on right top of the casing:

Here in Germany there is a special guarantee offered up to two years if the fault was caused by the manufacturer. But after 6 months the buyer has to supply evidence. This iPod was bought in 12/2012. Apple said: Supply evidence ! Or we don´t care. The seller said the same. So I brought the iPod to a re-seller and the re-seller sent it to a workshop. The workshop saw the problem, it was reported and claimed by a "European Consumer Law Claim Form":
Apples answer was: Nope. The dent would be a clue against the suspicion the green borders made an appearance after the product was shipped. Whatever that means. (guess it´s a mistake ?) The document is in German, though:

My opinion:
The green borders are caused by Apple due to some unknown flaw. How could anyone create such green borders on screen ? By what type of accident ? What can you do to create them ? Hit ? Water ? Nope. Then: My iPhone 5S was changed some weeks ago. Guess why .... Yes ! Exactly: Green borders. Look at the attachment:

I asseverate: Those borders were not caused by me at all. They came up very slowly within months. I take care of my Apple products a lot, believe it.
And: Search for that with Google. You will find others reporting the same problem.
So what do you think ? Am I right or wrong ? Same experiences here anyone else ? Any explanation ? Thanks !
