Cheers!
Rumors abound about an Apple Store on Greenwich Avenue in the vaudeville theatre built in 1919... This place is HUGE! Some say it's set - documents are in the town hall with Apple's logo on it... All I can think of is what in the world are they going to do with all that space?!
We're talking a store a minimum of three times the size of the Cube in Manhattan. 30,000 sq ft +++

Enjoy

The store on Regent Street, London is huge... i think 28,000 sq ft and they fill it and is nearly always packed with customers. But i doubt they would have one of this size in Greenwich it wouldn't be logical.

Agreed! It's a huge space!
Doesn't make sense compared to their current stores, but maybe they're trying something new and different?... Just as importantly Apple's high traffic business comes from wealthy, trendy areas (NYC stores, 10% of all income) - Greenwich will arguably be the wealthiest suburban area an Apple store is located in.
Proof? Local papers, people around town, and an approval from the town for the site with Apple's logo on it. I haven't seen it myself... May have to file an information request form soon!
The construction has been going at a very slow pace, with the cost of real estate in Greenwich I doubt anyone besides a company like Apple could afford to take their time. No rental signs... No other news or rumors about what else may be there. Pretty strange. More interesting.
