Ok, my MacBook Pro Retina 2015 still runs really well and it was gifted to me by a previous employer. However it took a while and realized the MDM profile hadn’t been removed it’s now been released from the company but it’s still playing havoc in my system. Can I reset it at home or does apple need to be involved? I will be getting a new MacBook here soon but I’d really like to see if removing any lingering profile restrictions or permissions gets rid of the Gremlins that have taken over, LOL

To remove the MDM profile you would have to contact you previous employer to have them remove it from the system. Apple wouldn’t be able to do it for you.

Yes I had said they have done that. But they didn’t physically have my laptop they just released it remotely. So is this to mean even though I get a little notification in the corner telling me that I can have Elasticsearch set up my computer it doesn’t mean anything? They have released any MDM profile or license they had on the computer. But as I still get these notices I’m assuming there is a step I’m missing!??
