I was at an apple store this weekend and I noticed that one of the imacs had a grey apple logo in the upper left instead of a blue one. What gives?

No one likes a know-it-all...dejo said:Actually, it's "Blue" versus "Graphite"...

When you use graphite instead of blue, does the Finder icon in the dock turn greyscale as well?
I recently noticed mine is, and it doesn't change when I go to blue, and I have no idea how long it's been that way haha

Hmm... as far as I was aware the Finder icon remained blue regardless of if you have the blue colour scheme in use or not. Have you changed the icon with an app like CandyBar? That could maybe explain it.Josh said:When you use graphite instead of blue, does the Finder icon in the dock turn greyscale as well?

CandyBar won't change the Menu Bar Apple logo though you could always look at an app like ShapeShifter and find a theme you like with different coloured Apples. There may also be a way to change its colour by messing about with some of the files buried away in the deep, dark depths of your hard drive, but I've never tried that myself so I couldn't advise you on that.Placeholder said:Anyone know if there any good freeware aps similar to Candybar out there?
I had no desire to change the beautiful blue apple until I read this thread...
