Grey bar under Gboard

Does anyone know how to get rid of the huge grey bar under the keyboard...?

Yeah I just got my phone and gboard is my preferred keyboard. It’s very annoying and distracting and I don’t think you can get rid of it. At least on Android it‘s black and blends in.

Still sticking with gboard but man what an eyesore.

My Gboard doesn't have a big grey thing at the bottom. Or, at least, it's the same color as the keyboard
