Greyed nVidia driver restart button

On the nvidia driver manager, if I click on « OS X default driver » the restart button works, but if I click on Nvidia web driver (latest version), the restart button is greyed...

Does anybody have a solution? Thank you.

That's how it's supposed to work.

If you change settings, you have the option to restart from the driver manager.

But if the settings aren't changed (or are changed but then switched back) then it's not necessary to restart.

Maybe I was not very clear.
After installing the latest web driver and restarting the computer, it's the OS X Default driver which was active. When changing to the nVidia web driver from within the nVidia driver manager, the restart button stays greyed. So I'm stuck with the default OS X driver (which defeats purpose).

You can manually restart which is equal to pressing restart button.

it's not a button causing issues for you, look in different direction.

I've noticed (and read here a few times) that even though the nVidia manager shows you're using the OS X default driver, the fact that you even have video is proof that you're using the webdriver. Hence, the status shown is incorrect (and in your case, is the reason the reboot is greyed...you're already running the webdriver).

Finally, PRAM resetting solved the problem (I should have figured it out beforehand).
