iPod Grid/List/Cover flow query

This has probably being mentioned before, but is there any way to get the three views to use the same data for Artist

When in Grid view (Artist) is lists by Album Artists
When in List View it lists by Artists
When in Cover Flow you can use either by sorting it yourself

I have some compilations (bought from iTunes) where the Artist field is correct but the Album Artist is 'Various', so if I go into Grid view I dont see all songs by some artists, I need to go to Various Artists

Is there any way to get the 3 views to use the same field, ideally the artist field

Just tried this in iTunes, but it seems there isn't.

Though you could argument that this makes perfect sense, since you are sorting entries by album, not by artist. Just because you got a compilation including 15 different artists at home doesn't mean that this very compilation is in your CD rack 15 times.


[edit] Ah, silly me... you can just select the compilation and unmark the "Compilation" checkbox within the album info. Just tried it.
