Hello all,
I did a fair share of googling and forum searching but haven't come up with a solution; I hope you guys can help.
Details: Husband has an iPhone 6s and is running the latest iOS.
Problem: His family always starts group texts (they all have iPhones) and my husband always has been trying to use the "Do Not Disturb" feature in the group message detail (not in settings/cp). However, his phone still vibrates/notifies him whenever they text in that group; same 5 people in the group. I'm not sure if I'm listed as one of his favorites under his contacts, I don't know if that would make the difference, since I'm part of the group text too..I don't recall favorites pushing group texts through when I use it on my phone.
Does it matter if, lets say, his mom deletes the group text on her phone (the one that my husband, on his end, activates Do Not Disturb on) and then creates a new one? Would that cause the Do Not Disturb feature to "reset"?
I do know that in the past I would name the group "Family" and they'd somehow start a new unnamed group. I always thought that iMessage remembered the contacts being used in each group, guess I could be wrong though lol.
Does anybody have any experience with this problem or any tips on how to get the Do Not Disturb feature to work properly with group texts.
TIA!
