Are they the same? I had purchased Growl and was happy with it but now I find the OS doing the same thing?

Should I remove it? Not install it on a clean install?

I'm yet to update to ML but I think notifications centre only works with apps through the app store. Growl will be useful for apps from other sources (Skype etc).

I came across this app on another forum yesterday but as I haven't got ML yet I cannot try it.

HISS

It apparently forwards growl notifications to notifications centre in ML. I will be trying it out as soon as I get my code from Apple and install ML.

So in other words I do still need growl. I saw Trillion sending me messages without it and thought it was the notification center. I guess it could be as it does install from the app store. hmm

Thanks, it works with Growler and HardwareGrowler as well. For Growler it says to turn it off for it to work.
