hey all
i recently bought a imac g5 rev c, i am having problems with msn messanger from microsoft i keeps on singing out automacticall by its self, is there and alternative program i can use,

also it doesnt have mic,video and i still have to use my old pc to talk to family over seas,

Ditch MSN, get Adium.

Adium is much much better than MSN, but doesn't have voice or video either.

aMSN has Webcam support, but Adium's interface is much nicer. Take your pick!

Proteus is the cleanest of the IM programs for Mac, I would recommend it. It hasn't changed much since the creator sold the company for his new job at Apple.

Although, if you only have ~10 contacts, Adium can look ok, but the message window is ugly.

hrm i wonder if its posible to get gaim runing on the mac but then again it too has the issue of no video support well at least for now since they are working on it for future versions.

Side note its my fav IM on my windows pc and linux box
