I am going crazy.

I have an LG :L246WP without an DVI only HDMI. (I use a DVI-HDMI cable) Trouble is when I installed Windows 7 Beta on my old iMac it worked perfectly hooked up as a 2nd monitor but with my new Mac Pro and GT 120 card it refuses to display correctly. Plus it keeps installing drivers for a 9550 and doens't see it as a GT 120.

It cuts off the left portion of the desktop and I've tried every option on the LCD and in windows and nothing works. Oddly enough before it installs the 9550 drivers it fills the screen but once the NVIDIA drivers kick in POOF back to half-screen. If I hook it up using VGA it works just fine (although blurry). Has anyone else had a similar issue with the new GT120 Cards with HDMI monitors?

PS. I also had a problem going from DVI-HDMI with OSX 10.5.6 as well. I had to use SwitchResX to force it into the native resolution of 1920x1200.

No one has any experience with DVI to HDMI on the new Mac Pro? If the 4870 works I'd buy one just to fix this issue.

Similar problem with Samsung T240 and GT120

I have a new MacPro with the GT120, and a Samsung T240 monitor, which has both DVI and HDMI inputs.

With my gaming PC on the DVI input and the Mac on the HDMI, Windows looks excellent at 1920x1200, and the Mac looks like crap at 1920x1080. No option for 1920x1200.

Using third party software, I got the Mac to show 1920x1200, but it still looked like crap. Based on the names of the modes it showed, and the options it was offering, the Mac seemed to think that it was hooked to an HDTV monitor, not a computer monitor.

I then swapped things around, so the Mac was on the DVI and the PC was on the HDMI. The Mac then offered 1920x1200 that looked great, and the PC continued to offer 1920x1200 that looked great.
