I found this while lurking on the Steam forums.
"You guys thinking of making your games available on Macs?" - Al

Yes! Look for the long-awaited release of the classic Grand Theft Auto Trilogy (Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas) for Mac - most likely later this year. We'll have much more info and a proper announcement soon. But, yes, in case you were wondering, that is a world exclusive from Asked and Answered.

Looks like the GTA series (or some of it) may possibly coming to Mac in the future.

Well in that case I hope they come on Steamplay. I already have the Windows versions and them being on Steamplay would be another redundancy for Bootcamp.

Can't wait! Of course they'll be hitting Steam. I hope they also bring in small updates to bring them into 2010, such as proper controller and widescreen support and port GTA 1 and 2 as well.

So far only San Andreas has a hack to support Xbox controllers, no such luxury for the rest of the series.

Are there any cider games on Steam? I don't remember there being any.

you should hope for a good working port... very often games can run better in Wine or Cider because the native port is done so horribly.
