GTX 770 4gb with dual 8 pins?

Hay tanks to some software i cant show an RX 4XX card any love so im looking at GTX770's (4GB).
only thing i noticed is they all have dual 8 pins, will there be any problems if i plug in my mac 6-6 pin's then grab 2 6-8 pin pc cables and plug them all together ?

ie mac 6pin to 6 pin in to pc 6 pin to 8 pin in to gpu?

I ran a 770 like that for 2 years without any issues. Ran great all the way up to when I sold the machine.

cool just ordered an msi 770 4gb card, now to amazon to get cables.
anything i need to look for with cables ? or will any do
