Hi sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section.

Hi I have a 2006 Mac pro 1,1 and have installed Yosemite on the machine. I have also purchased a gtx 970 that I was planning on putting into the system. I have tried to find a driver for my version of Yosemite (10.10) but all the drivers I have found and tried to install have been incompatible with the 2006 Mac pro. I have seen on other forum posts other people managed to use a gtx 970 in their 1,1 Mac pros. I was wondering how to get the graphics card to work in my Mac.

Thanks in advance

Hmm, I'm not sure if you need the Nvidia drivers, but I think I'm in the same boat. I have a GTX650 that doesn't appear to be performing near as well as it should. Maybe us 1,1 users do need drivers.

Unless I can get my new card to perform in Yosemite I will use windows 8 on my Mac pro because the support for these cards for 2006 and 2007 Mac pros don't look very good.
