At this moment I've got a eVGA GTX680 2Gb Flashed like Mac edition and works perfect.

I use the Mac with Photoshop, FinalCut, XCode... for all purposes XD...

My question is if the performance of a RX480 (or flashed to RX580) will justify the money spended...

How much will be the improvement?

Thanks in advance!

That’s a hard question to answer. You have the best flash yourself card for a Mac Pro.

RX-480/580 are faster, but it’s not a enormous thing, since GTX 680 it’s a nice performer.

You have to question yourself if loosing bootscreens, bootpicker and FileVault is not more important than the speed of RX-580 over GTX 680.

Another thing, if you need CUDA for anything, with a RX480/580 card you will underperform comparing with the GTX 680.

Yeah, I’ve got a RX580 myself, but I plan to soon get the GTX 680. I loved my HD7970 with MVC flash, but I feel like the 680 is a better quality card. I want one in my toolbox so to speak.

Thanks for answer...

At this moment I don't use 3D programs (or any software that use CUDA I think)...

Then, you think that the performance, for example un Final cut or Photoshop will be similar with both cards? I'm very interested in push up the performance in Photoshop...
