Hi,
I have a Powerbook G4 15" and the computer is under the 1 year apple guarantee and the trackpad needs changing so I took it to an Apple Service Center (one from Apple web), the nearest to my home town (50km away :-(. The thing is, is taking too long to fix because they say they are waiting for the new spare piece, I've been waiting for 2 weeks now. if they repair it now, will Apple take does 2 weeks into consideration with the guarantee or not?, that is, will I have a total of 1 year+2 weeks total guarantee (because I've haven't had the computer for those 2 weeks and it's not my fault).
The thing is that if they take 2 weeks for repair I would only have a guarantee of 11 months and 2 weeks, that is if Apple doesn't take knowledge of those 2 weeks of repair

I doubt you're going to get an extension from Apple just like that. Should it occur that you need those extra two weeks, they might be lenient. Even so, the odds of it failing exactly within those two weeks after you're official warranty ends are pretty small. I wouldn't worry about it until it actually becomes an issue. Life's just too short! ;)

I don't know about the laws in Spain and with the standard warranty, but there are certain states here in the US where the term of the AppleCare warranty is extended by the amount of time your machine is in Apple's hands.

According to the terms, in Connecticut it is extended by the amount of time Apple has your machine, while in Tennessee, it's the amount of time plus two additional working days.

While it's not explicitly in the warranty, I would say you could have a decent case for extending the warranty should you have problems immediately after the term ends. Chances are everything will be fine, but if you have a problem, be really nice and plead your case to them...they might give it to you.
