I have not been able to achieve a proper fit test in months... maybe a week or two after I got my Airpods Pro They quit getting a proper fit No matter how hard I tried. Well, I recently had the occasion to get a brand new left earpiece because of “rattlegate.“. Just for grins, I decided to use the old ear cushion on my new earpiece. Low and behold, I now get a “Good Fit“ on my left earpiece every single time. My right earpiece still gives me the error message.

I’m guessing the fit test only works when new before something inside breaks?

Have had mine since January and im still getting a "Good Seal", but im wiping off after every use with a dry microfiber cloth to avoid build up of skin and oils.

Try washing the tips you are using in lukewarm water with a drop of soap, should make the tips feel brand new and help you pass the fit test once dry and back on.
