A cardboard box.
Okay, I want to enable one of my hard drive share points to have guest access. In the share point's section, I already have "guest ok = yes", yet it still doesn't work when I try a loopback samba session with "guest" or the computername as the username. Any ideas on how to setup guest properly?

(wow it's late -or early i should say)

By share points section, I am assuming your smb.conf file.
make sure that the path specified is correct and the directory actually exists.
On a side note, you should not set 'guest ok = yes' . It allows any user to access the shared folder. If guest ok= no, then only users with accounts on your machine can mount the shared folders.
