Hi!

I know most of you think that there is a guide for this everywhere. But i just installed a new disk on my macbook and i need to mount osx mountain lion on a usb disk from my desktop (windows). All the guides on youtube and so on only shows how to make a mountable disk from a os x mac to another not from a windows to a os x.

Thanks!

Daniel

Ive got one macbook and one windows pc. Ive just upgraded my macbook with a new harddrive so it doesnt have any osx on it. So i want to make a bootable usb disk that contains mac osx and can be booted on my macbook but from my windows since thats the only computer i have. All the guides on youtube is how to make a bootable disk with osx on a mac computer. And thats not what i want to do.

Does your MBP not have Internet Recovery (cmd+R during boot). That allows you to install the OS on a blank disk without a USB drive.
