Does anybody know where I can purchase Guild Wars 2 as an
online download ?

Thanks.

Be advised that many (all?) online retailers offering digital downloads may not have serial numbers for them. For this game, all you are buying from the retailer is a serial number. The actually downloading of the game comes from ArenaNet. This situation should be temporary, but I'd be sure to talk to someone and verify (if possible) before purchase. Based on my situation Best Buy is (was?) selling digital downloads of GW2 but do not have serial numbers for it. Their problem was so severe, they may have temporarily pulled digital downloads off their virtual shelf.

Last I saw Amazon had physical copies, where I ordered mine. I would imagine that Game Stop does too.

I got mine as a digital download from GameStop.com...and it was after ArenaNet/NCsoft shut down their online sales temporarily so I can 100% verify that it does work fine. You just have to install Gamestops app in order to complete the process, which I promptly uninstalled afterwards.

Thanks I will buy a hard copy from Amazon :)

To continue droning on about this situation, what Best Buy had was beta serial numbers that expired at the onset of Retail. I was flabbergasted that they did not have both beta and retail serial numbers for every copy of the game they sold. I have no idea who should be blamed, but I'm leaning towards Best Buy.
