Thought all would be interested in my results from trying to load up Guild Wars with CrossOver using the MBP listed in my signature.

The game installed just fine, booted up faster then on my p4 desktop, however the title graphics and log in box were missing. All that showed up on my screen was the cinematic background and the mouse cursor. Also the cinematic itself didn't look very good. The edges were very sharp and blocky. The textures didn't look too good, and the water effects sucked. However I'm assuming this is a result from the lack of DirectX.

Cheers.

There's only a few games that I've seen that look and play well in CrossOver, it's an ongoing project so it should get better.

Jedi Outcast 2, COD and Blackhawk Down are really the only games I've seen play decently on Crossover, at the moment I think any games that need DirectX wont play too well (I don't think the CrossOver support is fully implemented yet).

If you check out Guild Wars on the CodeWeavers web site it users are saying it works however CodeWeavers are still saying it's untested (which I guess covers them?).

The application I a really wanting to see run on CrossOver is 3D Studio MAX, but again OpenGL seems to be better supported by CodeWeavers not others like DirectX, Heidi, etc....
