Im meant unteathered....but I went and looked at the BB phones..I got a serial number with the last digits of 37 and its good. Thanks guys:cool:

Tethered jailbreak isn't technically 100% all iPhones, there are some constraints that have to be overcomed.

He didn't ask if his jailbreak would be untethered. He asked what the chances were that he could jailbreak. And the answer to that is 100%, since all iPhones can be jailbroken.

Congrats. You were very lucky. In the future, though, you should be more specific. Jailbreaking and untethering are two different things.

1:1 chance yours will be jailbreakable.

I can testify to this. My 3G crapped out on me (Launch day model, so i can't complain) and I had to go buy another one. The first one came with the new bootloader which patched the exploit which we've all been using to jailbreak for a long time now. I took it back and got a replacement and asked them to pull one from the back that they've had for a long time. I got lucky and got one with 3.1 and the older boot loader. Jailbroken now and i f**king love it (the 3gs screams in comparison). So it's definitely a 1:1 ratio at this point in time. Your chances go up by telling them to grab one of the oldest ones from the back. AT&T does keep older stock (I went to best buy), so your chances might be better there as well. Just tell them you don't want dust on it, you want cobwebs. They might have one that's still jailbreakable, but that windows is slowly closing on us as all of the old stock depletes and random jackoffs get the good phones.

I know, that sucks.
Hope they come out with a new hack for the new bootloader cause having to run software while plugged into a computer in order to restart the phone is a real pain.

How can someone's chances go up from 1:1?

Dont you have anything better to do than trying to pick fights with everyone on every thread you post?
This thread you started so far with the OP, The General and jav6454.
Seriously who cares if he didnt word the question right or what the odds and probabilities or whatever you want to argue about etc....
If you have nothing helpfull to post dont bother at all, Im sure everyone is getting sick of your miserable behavior. You seriously need a life......
