Has this been updated for 6.1? I know I saw a couple of threads about this when the original jb was out, but I havent seen any updates lately? When I search cydia I now see a few options GV Mobile+, GV Mobile, GVIntegrated and Phone GV Extensions. Which one are we suppose to use when updated?

SMS GV Extension is being worked on. Last post by developer was Feb 5th. He said it will take longer than expected because of the significant changes to the underlying structure.

That's the extension that integrates GV into the native iMessages app.

might have been covered in the past, but are there any dialing options using the phone gv extension that allow calls to only use data? or do they all use actual talk minutes?

I read online that it does not use minutes, but it isn't updated yet for ios 6.

According to the product page http://gvexts.appspot.com/phone/phone.html, no, all the options are traditional non-data calls (initiated with data or otherwise). If you set up an A-list/circle of friends thing on your calling plan, you can possibly have those calls be free through your carrier, but it still isn't VOIP.

I'm hoping to find something like Phone GV Extension that does VOIP like Mo+ for GV or Talkatone. :) Perhaps Zheng will hook us up.

How about talkatone? I found their website and it specifically said does not use minutes.

for now i'm using the mo+ gv phone app (via app store). i tried talkatone, but it's a really badly designed app, terrible functionality

I agree with whiskeyvol. Talkatone uses VOIP, but the UI is pretty terrible. Mo+ is also VOIP, and has a nice UI. I hope they add a paid, ad-less Mo+ soon, and let me change the status because it adds a "I'm using Mo+ blah blah" status message to my Google Talk acocunt (both Talkatone and Mo+ basically emulate the Gmail Gtalk client to support doing VOIP). Another nice thing would be to have the app auto-toggle the GV forwarding for my phone. Talkatone will do that, but you have to sign up for a paid membership.
