Ok - I'm a newb. Before you post sarcastic remarks - I know I know.

If someone would want to hack my IPHONE what info is required?

What would they need? My network's IP address? My root password? What else?

And of course you're asking this because "you want to protect yourself."

i know there's app like privacy, and iphone firewall ip etc...but i'm sure curious on how it would be done...

not as much protect as all my personal info is on facebook, but learn!

yeah, the only hack is through ssh while your logged into a public wifi. this thread will show you what steps to take to change you root pwd and protect yourself from being infiltrated:

****just dont forget your new root pwd or you will have to a complete restore to reset it****

also, as far as i understand it, you are only susceptible if your on a jailbroken phone.
