Maybe it is The wrong subforum, but just in case:
Not wanting to wait for the official iOS 9, I downloaded the 9 GM from a "third source" and installed it on my iPhone.
Everything seemed to work well apart from an initial battery drain which isn't happening anymore.
Just now I received a telephone call from our head office that my current data-usage was around € 3800 and that I was consuming at 60 MB per minute, or around € 30 per minute as I am roaming in Singapore. During that call and the hours before I was at my hotel's wifi...
Just before I was in the hotel I was in a mall and opted to use their public wifi for which an initial registration and sms to my number and using their access code was required. Registration didn't work at first time (403 error), but worked the third time.
I installed iOS 9 yesterday and the data drain happened today.
Yes, I know I am stupid but could it be the iOS version or is another culprit at work? Right now roaming is disabled and I don't know if this is still going on or not right now.
Any idea is appreciated and please, I know already that I am stupid so spare me your confirmations of the fact ☺ . I just want to know the possible technical origin of this data drain so I know what I have to do.
Thanks!
Michel
