Hi,

This is my first post ever... I am having an issue with my Iphone. I just bought it from someone and they had it hacked, or jail broke so that they could use teammobile on the phone. I started deleting all the contacts and pictures one by one. While going through the phone i found that in the settings you could restore the phone while would delete all the information and restore the phone back to the factory settings. I wasn't thinking when i did this, and didn't think that it would mess up the phone due to it being hacked. Now my phone is stuck on the black apple screen with the circle loading symbol. It will not move. It is completely frozen and will not turn off. I tried rebooting it through itunes and my itunes wont recognize it. Then i tried restarting it by holding down the home and sleep.wake button and it still wont work.

I think by resorting it it may have deleted the software in it, thats the only thing i can think of.

Someone Please help!

If I bring it to an apple store, I am sure they wont give me a new phone dur to it being hacked. Is there another way around it?

HELP HELP HELP:confused:

Get it into DFU mode and restore it. There should be a post / help file somewhere around this forum that tells you how to do DFU, or you could google it.

Once you've restored, your next step would depend on what phone you have -- is it 2g, 3g, or 3gs?

Hi

DTF does not work for my phone, phone is stil frozen and did not respond to anything. I tried several times. Are there any other options? If i take it to the apple store it will be out of warranty and will they be able to tell if it is hacked?

I wonder if i should just let the battery die out and see what happends it has been on like this for 5 hours already!

When you press and hold home and power buttons for 20-30 seconds it wont restart or shut off?
Keep trying, you just got to get it timed right. Dont panic or give up it will work and works for every iphone.
Follow the steps on that tutorial again to put the phone into DFU mode and then restore it thru itunes.
