If someone came up with a way to make iTunes think we bought our homemade/downloaded/found/etc ringtones from Apple, we could manage them more conveniently than jailbreaking and 3rd party apps, which I fear will always be on the run from iTunes updates. I'm really not interested in playing dodgeball every time there's an update, like PSP owners do. Over the years there have been apps that strip DRM from music files...why not one that will add DRM?

Yes, I am actually suggesting adding DRM. Whoulda thunk it would come to this?

Why on Earth would anyone want to add DRM to something?

Besides, Apple would catch on and you'd be playing dodgeball with iTunes updates instead of iPhone updates.
