Pre Ordered my 14 Pro Max in Purple at 8:01am as soon as the app showed the store was up. Thanks to the prepare for Pre order option, I had my order placed with 2 clicks. I do the 1UP Program through apple each year.
About 30 minutes after my order was placed, my Apple Card alerted me that my Apple Card declined the $94 tax due to the card info had changed. (My number stayed the same but I forgot my expiration date changed) so I scrambled to get it updated through the app and site before I would lose my 9/16 delivery date. Of course, the Apple App and Apple Site crashed and would not allow me to get to the spot to update the card.
I called Apple, the lady in sales answered within 60 seconds which I was shocked, and she told me as she tried to get into the site to update the card for me, that it was the first time all morning she could get in, so she updated my card, it charged, and it held my 9/16 delivery date.
WHEW!!
I do not recall Apples site having so many issues with crashing in a few years, This year they must have been hit harder than they expected.
